Random Thought

I dont really know what to post, so Im going randomly type my thoughts.

I went and saw Across the Universe for the third time. I went with my oldest sister because she needed time away from the kids. Luckly she had some tickets that got us in for free. I still say that is an awesome movie.

I have decided not to buy the book that my poem is going to be published in. It is 50 dollars, and right now I cant afford that. Mabey if I see it in a discount store I will buy it. Oh well.

I have to write a persuassive speech for Communications by Friday and I have decieded to persuade people to try pottery. Im going to tell them about how I enjoyed it and how they can get into it. Im also going to tell them about its history, so my paper for the unit three project comes in handy. Im going to bring in all of the ceramic items I have made for examples. I hate giving speeches or just speaking in front of people period. Im sure I will do fine, but just nervous.

Well that is about the bottom of my mind and I cant think of anything else to write. I will write some type of poem for tomorrow; just tonight Im tired.

BEST MOVIE EVER!!!

Across the Universe is the best movie this year and ever!!! I know everybody says this about all different movies that come out, but this is one to see. It is similar to Rent, but set in the 1960's and has awesome songs. Most of the songs in it are Beatle song, there are a few that they made up for the movie. The main character Jude is soo cute and Max too (kind of second main). Jude is my absolute favorite because I love accents. It is going to be in the theaters for a few more weeks, but only in the Flicks till Thursday. I support the Flicks because they show mostly independent movies, and need the support. I have seen the movie twice already, but I want to see it one more time before it goes out.
GO SEE IT!!! AWESOME MOVIE!!!

Sad News

I just learned some sad news from my friend, Robert Jordan has passed away. He is the author of my favorite series, The Wheel of Time. I have been reading them since 7th grade and I have been re-reading them ever since. His series has not been finished, he was finishing the 12th and last book when he passed away on September 16. Luckily he had told his family how he wanted the book to end and how all the different threads tied into the main story. There is more about him on Wikipedia.com. He also had his own blog page, it is www.dragonmount.com people would talk to him, but now they can talk to his wife.
The new book is called A Memory of Light and is said it might be 1500 pages. He wanted to wrap it all up in one book; he said that the publishing company will have to invent a new way of binding, or the book will come with a cart of its own.
Im really sad that he is gone, but Im glad he went peacefully and with no pain. I hope the book is everything he wants it to be.

Exciting News

When I got home this afternoon, I got a letter saying that my poem is being published in their new book. I was so excited that I started filling out the information that they needed. I didnt know if I should buy my own copy, so I waited until my mom got home and told her. She said it was just a gimmick to get my money; that noboy else is going to read it but the other people who buy the book for their own poem. Im mad at her now because I was so excited that my poem was being published. The paper said that I was one picked out of thousands, my mom told me they tell that to everybody. If I win a prize in the upcoming contest, Im going to buy a book with it. Here is my poem, tell me what you think. If you dont like it, thats ok, I know Im not good at writing poetry; normally I need my brothers help, but this one I wrote on my own for my english class senior year. Here it is.

Lilly

Some people just do not really like cats,

But I can say I have one named Lilly.

Like Garfield, she is lazy and fat,

But because she is dumb, she is silly.

She once had a three story scratching post,

That once on it she would act like a fox,

And once on top she would sit there and boast,

But now instead she has a three foot box.

But because her eyes meet in the middle

I believe she can not see that far,

Even though she is as fit as a fiddle,

She still almost got hit by Sara's car

Even though she lets out a fart,

I still love her deep in my heart.

That is the one I submitted, the original had a different ending, but it had the word fart in it, and they wouldn't accept it. Ther it is, please tell me how it is.

Im listening to MIKA as i write this. I first heard Mika when my friend played him in her car. I liked it, but didnt really fall in love with it till I bought the cd. My new favorite song by him is Grace Kelly. It is bouncy and fun. Im trying to find other people who like him also.
